Get to know us

The Jubilee has welcomed ECMA, Music Nova Scotia, and JUNO Award winners & nominees to its stage. Our outdoor amphitheatre creates an energy that is hard to find anywhere else, offering one of the most engaging and up-close live music experiences in the region.

Since 1996, the Jubilee has been rooted in showcasing rising local talent alongside established national and international artists. It is a place where music lovers discover new favourites and connect with the incredible artists who thrive here along the Northumberland Shore.

The Jubilee is a signature Nova Scotia music event and an anchor in the local tourism industry. It has been named Music Nova Scotia’s Event of the Year three times, received two ECMA Event of the Year nominations, and earned the TIANS Golden Hospitality Award in 2013. Year after year, it remains one of the best entertainment values in Atlantic Canada.

The Jubilee is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization. It is guided by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and supported by more than 300 volunteers who help bring the festival to life.

The mandate of The Jubilee is to present accessible, high-quality music and arts events, to create opportunities for performance by artists, to increase awareness and appreciation for a wide range of music, to contribute to the community, the sector, and the evolution of Canadian music festivals, and to build capacity, knowledge, and skills to benefit the festival and the sector.

Charitable Status and Community Support

The Jubilee is a registered Canadian charity. Every donation helps us deliver high quality programming and keep live music thriving in our community. Your support allows us to present emerging and established artists, create opportunities for local performers, and offer accessible events that bring people together.

Donations also help sustain our year-round operations. They support planning, staffing, community partnerships, and the behind-the-scenes work that makes the festival possible. Whether you give a little or a lot, your contribution has a direct impact on the cultural life of New Glasgow and the artists who call this region home.

Thank you for helping us keep the music playing.
